What Are Part-To-Union, Part-To-Part, Union-To-Part Strong Joints?

I was messing around with unions and welding and I encountered a free model which has a Part-to-Part Strong Joint. I was wondering what this is, why is it different from just a normal weld, Is it better? What are the differences between the 3?

Those are old and deprecated joints. Use constraints instead.

Welds are the things that keep unanchored parts sticked to eachother.

Those are what keep the parts connected. But the question on top of mine (or bottom) is the one. So, it's just a joint or attachment.
