Is it possible to take a snapshot?
Is there currently a way you could take a "snapshot" of a certain part of your game via script?
And if there is, how would you do that, and if there isn't do you think it is possible?

In theory yes, you could convert the part to a string using http://www.roblox.com/Instance-to-string-String-to-instance-item?id=116408242 or similar and then save it to DataStore. gskw 1046 — 8y

You could alternatively use datapersistance (although depricated and unsafe) to save the instance directly and load it when needed. LifeInDevelopment 364 — 8y
