Is there a way to force players to move a certain direction?

Hello! Hope this isn't a repeat question, I couldn't find any similar to this.

I'm making an obstacle in my game where players are supposed to wedge themselves in between two narrowly spaced walls and float over a small pool. I want my game to be new player friendly and many new players won't get the concept of how to wedge them self in between the walls. (Mouselocking and moving to the left or right using A or D) Is there a way to force a player to move to the left or right while in a certain area or for a certain amount of time?
