Does Filtering Enabled really matter if your game is singleplayer?

Asked by 8 years ago

I am making a 2D Game, I started making it to improve my scripting ability, but here's the question I pose. Does it really matter to use FE when your game is just 1 player only?

Considering the statement on ROBLOX Wiki, about FE that it avoids hackers, so if they hack into the game, their client only will be effected and not the server, so that other places won't be bothered, But in this case it's just 1 player who plays this game..

and does FE = false lead to making it easy to hack data stores?

Thanks, Uday.

I believe filtering enabled does matter because say they come out with a "level 7" hack which means they find a way to inject it serverside and then steal your game you wouldn't be too happy (textcode dll hack from 2012 where people's games got stolen) which is highly unlikely in the first place though but not impossible

I know this is VERY late, but it does matter, so they can't steal your game, change their stats (bypassing the purpose of buying points if it's a thing), and just giving themselves advantages in general. joshxie 25 — 6y
