Server - Side Humanoid AI help?

Srry if Im askin too many questions. First off I get how to control a humanoids AI and all, but how would you locate a player in the game. It would work like this: 1) if a player(s) exists ingame 2) the humanoid will target the closest player 3) the humanoid will lock onto that player until the player eithier dies, or leaves the game
