How to script?

Okay, thanks for reading.. I have no idea in the world how to script. I do not understand anything at all with scripting.

Is there any way people would recommend learning it.

Say I wanted to make a game where it randomly named everyone and char'ed them to something different every time, made them spawn at random locations, and gave 1 person a tool like a gun which could kill someone then eliminate all and get points.

If you really want to learn to script then I would recommend pighead10's tutorial on YouTube.I downloaded all of them due to my internet limit.He covers every concept from 2010-2012 so it's kinda out of date but still it's very useful .If you want I could sned you word docs of the shut down Lua learners for the basic course,All I need Is your Skype so I can send you them.
