How do you access PlayerGui/StarterGui using FilteringEnabled?

I made a script that changes a GUI's text, but it won't work on FilteringEnabled so I was wondering if anyone could teach me how to change a GUI's text using FilteringEnabled or how to access a GUI in PlayerGUI/StarterGUI. Thank you!
