Moving a ScreenGui behind a Part?

Asked by 9 years ago

Is there anyway to somehow make a part basically "move to front" of a ScreenGui. So the ScreenGui covers everything except for that part. Like if there is a black ScreenGui that covers the whole screen but I just want to see one specific part/brick.

Elaborate a bit more on your question please. This is it one block, or multiple? A model? What are you trying to do exactly? dyler3 1510 — 9y

He means that he wants certain parts to be drawn over ScreenGuis. drew1017 330 — 9y

Why don't you just make parts of the ScreenGui transparent then, so it appears that way? dyler3 1510 — 9y

Because that would show all the parts behind it. I only want people to see a specific part. intrance 50 — 9y

Oh okay. I see now. I can't do that because these parts are going to be moving. intrance 50 — 9y

This MIGHT be possible, however im not sure. If you cover the part with SurfaceGuis that look exactly like the part, and make their ZIndex's higher than the ScreenGui's, then it MIGHT draw in front. Im not sure because i havent ever tried this. drew1017 330 — 9y

It's not possible to actually place your ScreenGui behind a part without doing messed up things that aren't worth the effort.

There is a property named ZIndex, change it to a higher number, at it'll show first.

Not sure if this is what you meant.

That can't work because I need that for parts. intrance 50 — 9y
