Does using the output to print things, cause lag?

Asked by 9 years ago

Like printing "Hello World" for example. Would this make more lag or be irrelevant?

I believe it would be irrelevant. I can't see a way, in which talking to the output would cause more lag. Well, actually, that depends. Say if you're printing a long equation, or possibly a lot of words, then that may cause a bit of lag. Other than that, no lag should occur.

The print function takes such as much time as a normal function call would, which is to say very little. The only time it'll lag is if you're calling it an incredibly large number of times, on the order of hundreds of thousands a second. adark 5487 — 9y
