I need help with making a "no clip - esc" script. Help?

Asked by 9 years ago

Hello! Heres the scenario: I am trying to make a certain "mob" with a pathfinding ai. Now my only problem is that the pathfinding script isn't perfect, so my "mob" runs into things and gets stuck sometimes. (it's usually the little things) So I want a failsafe. I thought making a "no clip-esc" sort of script would fix the problem as the "mob" walks right through the tiny obstacle. Problem is, I have no idea on how to do this without him falling through the floor! So if you have any tips or suggestions, it would be most wonderful if you could let me know in the comments.

P.S. Typing this was a slight pain. To mush pr0per g3r@m3r.

I'm sorry to say, but this isn't a request site. You post your code, we fix it. Vrakos 109 — 9y

What you probably would want to do it make it so the ai turns around and walks backwards a few steps in another direction to get the ai out of the tiny obstacle dragonkeeper467 453 — 9y

Alright, thanks for telling me Vrakos. Although that is unfortunate, I am glad you told me. And dragon, I figured out the simplest solution. Removing the obstacles. xD iUnEarthly 85 — 9y
