How do i make a firing gun?

I have tried using free models to try to learn to script a gun, i have used the wiki to help my scripting overall but nothing seems to work, can someone script for my upcoming game Obsidian FPS? I am working on maps and guns, and trying to work on getting members in my clan. Making changes to my clan, and doing a lot of stuff. I am trying to look professional and i am overloading myself with things to do. I have a lot of spare time so this is what i do. And i learned to make a Day/Night script and that was it and thats thanks to LuaLearners, which by the way, when in the world is that coming out? Thanks. :)
