character wont become transparent in local script?

Hello,

I would like to make my character transparent but i have only succeeded in making the body parts transparent, not the custom accessory. I was wondering if anyone could help with this as its a vital part in my games creation.

To expand, ive made a custom starter character that has an accessory attached to it but the accessory is not becoming transparent. I need to do this in a local script as im intergrating this in StarterGui.
