How would I make a ragdoll system that stays after death?

I'm an okay scripter and know the basics. I'm making another script to drag the dead ragdolls around, but the problem is how would I make a ragdoll stystem that stays after death? I wouldn't want it to be anchored so it could still be dragable and I would want to have it keep the attachments that I make with my scripts so that I can make the rope work. I don't want any full on scripts, I want to know how I could make this possible? I've asked this somewhere else and they just showed me r to ragdoll scripts and that's not quite what I'm looking for. I'm trying to learn on how to do harder scripts so anything will help! I do know that it has to be in SPS or SCS. ( Or there's other ways. )
