How should I master my scripting skill?
I’m kind of new to scripting. I have just finished TheDevKing’s advanced scripting tutorial. However, I still find myself not understanding most of the services, events, functions, etc. Therefore, I would like to know how I should master my scripting skill and how pro scripters learn to script.

i know this is pretty old but: make big projects you have no idea what to do or where to start so you can look things up and learn them. or do things like this; friends list viewer, in-game catalog, building system, recreating python libraries, recreating free models 0hsa 193 — 4y

Try to make small projects first, don't make big projects that you can't finish. try to incorporate what you learned from The dev kings tutorials into small projects or, Try taking commissions, you can use the dev forum or you can find a discord server that allows commissions and hiring. with this you will slowly learn to be a "pro scripter".

Yes! I 100% agree. As a fairly proficient scripter myself I do wish I did this earlier, instead of trying to create large games with intricate mechanics. The games I cherish the most are the ones with a simple concept. Upvoted! Vinceberget 1420 — 4y
