How does the VRService work and how does it interact with the world?

I'm very new to roblox scripting, and i'm wondering how the Virtual Reality platform works and how it interacts with a game. Also wondering how anticheat scripts work with it, as VRService is local. Stating this again: I don't have much experience with Lua, but i'm willing to take the time to learn more in-depth if I need to.
