I'm trying to figure out Motor6D with tools, and i've managed to create one on my Right Arm, connected to a part in a tool (when the game is running).
I've followed headstack's tutorial but when i play the animation, the arm moves, but the weapon is stiff. When i check it, the Motor6D's Active
property is false
.
The property is readonly
, i can't modify it at all. I suppose a set of circumstances need to be true for it to work? Could someone tell me which are those?
I solved it myself! Seems like a Motor6D can't be parented to a part that has constraints (Welds, Hinges, etc) whose Part0 and Part1 are the same as the 6D without it being Inactive.
I was trying to weld the tool Model to the Right Arm, whilst there already was a Motor6D present.
Motor6Ds can do their same job! When they're active, they hold the tool in place where it'd be without any animations, and when one runs, the tool moves around accordingly!
I took 4 days to find that out -_-
