why does audio only play from certain meshes?

i sometimes want to have a model/mesh(e.g. a phone or a radio) to play music, so i get the audio, turn on the looping and playing option, and then make a local script in starter gui. i always do game. Workspace. [model name]. Sound:Play() and it just ends up as background music.it's annoying. how do i avoid making this mistake?
