Games | Security - How can I secure my games?
Yesterday was a big day for me and my team, our 1 ½ years of work vanished, i didn't know how it happened. I joined the game and a message started popping up saying: "You just got HACKED lol".
And no, I'm not a dumb guy who downloads random and unchecked free models. I even rechecked all the scripts in the game and all of them were gone.
I've been very sad lately because 1 ½ years of work down the drain.
How can i improve on the security on my new games, because i don't want this happening again. Thank you for reading...

To get your progress back, have you tried reverting the version of the game?
As for your question, there are many ways in which you can secure your game.
1) Don't use plugins/models you don't trust. Although this is fairly common knowledge, it is important to check all scripts from the Toolbox and also make sure all plugins are secure aswell.
2) Never trust the client. It shouldn't be said but make sure you authenticate the information passed through remote events. Events that are used to give players money or kick them should always be checked on the server. However, if a task can be securely completed on the client, it should be to relieve the server of additional duties and so it can go on to do more important jobs.
3) Don't put random people in the TC. You should only work with people you trust, and that's how your game got destroyed probably, you should make sure everyone knows what they're doing and that they can be trusted.
You can revert your game version, the game security had nothing to do with it, only way this could happen is one of your accounts got hacked.
The Only Way You Can Get Your Game Back Is By Looking Around Where You Games Settings And Go To Versions. And Reset it to That
