Unable to publish MeshPart: Inappropriate name?

Asked by 3 years ago

I am trying to create a statue of my Roblox character.

I imported my character model into blender because it is over 10k triangles. So I grouped parts of my character model, then paste it into a new blender tab, and export it as an obj file. So then I create a MeshPart in Roblox Studio and upload the mesh and this error message comes up in the output:

Unable to publish MeshPart: Inappropriate name

I have no idea why this is, as my filename is 'untitled'

Any Suggestions?

Thanks!

Configuator wasn't lying. It does work. Does adding numbers to "Dog Bruh" effect anything? ThatsSad523 2 — 3y

Hello, I recently had this problem too. What you have to do is click on File then New in roblox studio. It will create a new baseplate and you will be able to insert any mesh from there. That's how I fixed this problem, let me know if it works for you.
