Is it possible to make a Floating script?

Asked by 9 years ago

I've made a boat (On an alt account) And I intended it to float on the ROBLOX water (That's in the stamper tool) But the boat does not float. I've made every part SmoothPlastic but made no difference.

I have tried to fix this my self, But dosent work (Not the best of scripters) I've used and edited the following script / model: http://www.roblox.com/Advanced-Water-item?id=33313035 - But this makes no difference, the boat automatically sinks. I've checked the wiki, But theres nothing there in relation to making things float. The hull is made from a brick with a few negated parts in, This does NOT float. I since replaced this brick with a normal one, And this does, But quickly turns over.

If anyone could give me an idea how you'd make it stay afloat and the way up would be a great help. Thank you for your time reading =) ~DaGame

You could make something like this logic:

for each part in the boat model, get their position and increase # on the Y axis. and make it on a loop

Try and balance the boat that turns over. Get something in the spot that goes of last.

Thats easier said than done. When I was building the boat, I tried my best to keep it even on both sides, Even now I dont get why it turns over... DaGam3Mak3r 0 — 9y
