Why does my custom ChatUI duplicate chat messages?

So I used the custom chat that the Vanguard gun engine has. It worked fine ever since now. Whenever I type in a message, the message always duplicates. Whenever i use another custom chat, the vanguard guns don't work anymore for some apparent reason. Also, when I used another custom chat, the messages also did duplicate. Sorry if I explained it bad and hope someone can help!
