how to make transparent blocks not block mouse clicks?

so i have a npc and you can talk to it using dialog but it is surrounded by invisible blocks to make sure the player doesnt fall off so the chance that the camera is outside of the transparent blocks is high so when there is a transparent block between the question mark and the camera then it wont detect the mouse click how do i make it so the transparent blocks dont interfere with the mouse clicking?

or if that is not possible how do i make it so the camera cant go outside of the transparent blocks
