Why am I getting teleported when I pick up my tool?

I have a tool in workspace, and every time I pick it up it teleports me to where it was. I have the handle whick is the only part unanchored. What do I do?

i mean the only part in the tool is the handle. JackSnowstorm 0 — 4y

The 2 reasons I think why this is happening is the first being that the tool is anchored, so unanchor and try again. The other reason is that the part is welded to the baseplate. Remove all welds that connect the baseplate to the part and it should not teleport you anymore. Please accept my answer if it helps.

Hey there. Before starting your game make sure your tool is slighty lifted off the ground, or if you want it to stay on the ground, that you make sure the Handle has no welds on it that arent connected to the main tool. Welds keep parts anchored.

Obviously as you know make sure ALL parts inside the tool are unanchored, make sure there are no welds as previously stated and I suggest using a Q3perfection weld, there have been instances where I get TP'ed if the thing isn't welded so just grab a Q3 perfection weld script put it inside the tool and it should work, hope this helps!
