How can I add to a players data store value in a local script?

I've recently run into trouble with how to add a players in game cash in a local variable. The data will add, and the players cash will go up, but it wont save the added data in local scripts, only normal scripts. How could I accomplish this?

Datastores are serversided, you cannot do this locally. You have to send information from the client to the server using remote events or remote functions.

It's not possible locally. The data saves to the serverside.

It is usually bad practice to change player data using local scripts, but one of the ways you could do it is fire a remote event to a server script, then add the data, but I don't know how to add it locally.
