How is Voice Chat in Roblox Possible???

Recently, on twitter, there has been a video of a guy successfully implementing what I originally thought was impossible, a voice chat on Roblox. I'm extremely curious on the fundamental mechanics behind it, as #1, if they have been uploading audios based on what the user uploads to an external website, wouldn't the file first have to be moderated? And #2, it appears way to fluid to be hundreds of thousands of sounds with varying pitches. The following is a link to the described voice chat: https://twitter.com/mathep1/status/1249002973717463040

Also, it is quite real, I have been on it before it got content deleted, and there are numerous videos of people on it.

It is possible but roblox don't allow it because roblox is a kid friendly game and the use of voice chat may not benefit as people can just say "f" or "n" words through voice chat

I understand that, but I'm curious on how this is possible, there's absolutely no built in methods to allow anything like this to occur.

Well I planned to make a game with voice chat before and did some research. Like mathep said, it uses "https://robloxvc.host/" to talk on the website and then connect to the game. There are other ways to do this as well, no necessary need to do it this way.

Yes, but how does he play the sounds from said website inside roblox, it's been confirmed that the roblox client is the one which plays the sounds, and sounds uploaded to roblox must first be moderated.

Im not sure about that but I don't think the sound is "uploaded" to roblox, they just chat on the website and uses HttpService to connect (Not sure)

They obviously do use an http service, but that's still not the issue. How do they almost instantly play back a sound that you record using that http service in roblox, not their site?

It's possible, but hard. There's have LOTS LOTS LOTS LOTS LOTS of VOICES in ServerStorage, they'll tags if they said something bad like the 'N' word to '######', so voices simply says "Hashtags hashtag hashtag hashtag hashtag hashtag."

But there other ways to do, like some games like that, they have a weird sound that like saying "Hello world", both words' pitchs was different, they just find songs (or something) and go to the place where they said that word, it was pretty hard to do too, but both need a good scripting skills to do this. They need to do tables, and then if people says "Oof", they run the following message which people said.

It's not hard, but the game will lag much, so depends how you do it.

I don't believe you understand, what you described was a very simple system with a very limited range of possible sounds. The system in that link allowed for literally any sound that you yourself recorded. It was essentially a working voice chat. It even matched the sound you recorded perfectly.

And no, the sound was not played back through the website, it was done through roblox itself, which is what I find baffling.
