Recommended movement method for automatic train?

Asked by 4 years ago

Is there any specific movement method that would be the best for moving an automatic train? I'm currently using tweenservice however it's some what laggy and if players are standing they'll fall out of the vehicle. I'd prefer not to use motors as players jumping around can derail the train. Would bodymovers or constraints be good? Would this also work for elevators?

I would discourage you from using anything that involves CFraming the train as, like you've found out, it won't move any of the objects inside that aren't welded or parented to the train's model, and it won't stop if it hits a wall. BodyMovers would be a good shout. darkelementallord 686 — 4y

Bodymovers. In the "Wild West" default place, there is a train you can look at to model yours off of. NickIsANuke 217 — 4y

I use BodyVelocity. It works very well for me. I also use it for my railroad crossings. You should try it. Partimere_ComesBack 13 — 4y
