My friend who was helping me attempted to use the animation tool and put a humanoid in the NPC but it didn't work. Help is much appreciated.

How do I add an animation to something that is not a humanoid rig?

You can't animate a NPC without a humanoid. And also, you need to rig the NPC. If its a modified NPC, then you need to rig it with plugins. You can look up how to rig NPC's.

I tried using a humanoid, but couldn't figure out the bind tools that the animation plugin requires.
