How do I disable studio drag selection?

Making a plugin and when I drag my UI the selection box activates. I have seen other plugins where you drag the UI and this does not happen. But I am at a loss at how they do this, not sure what to search for. I tried selection box, drag selection, disable, deactivate. None seem to get me any closer to an answer. All the reference trying to disable the blue selection outline which I have no problem with.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Have you made the plugin already?

Plugin activate/deactivate works but it turns off other activated plugins. Yet if I drag F3X UI's this doesn't happen. So am still missing something.

You can use plugin:Activate() (whenever your plugin finishes loading or at top of plugin script) and plugin:Deactivate() (binded with a Unloading event) to disable the current tool with activate and then re-enable the tool after running deactivate.

Will try to see if the unloading event helps me get the desired effect.

Huh? You have to use both functions and bind the deactivate function to the unloading event. Activate disables the tool and Deactivate re-enables the tool.

Oh, ok. I tried this but it shutdowns other open tools. I want to avoid this. But it does stops the selection tool from activating. I'm going to try to show what I mean in a gif.

I am going to be looking for a better solution, since this one messes with other plugin and I don't want to do that but it does resolve the issue so that is why I am accepting the answer.

well sadly I think this the only fix, someone can correct me if I'm wrong
