[SOLVED] Why can't i make a hole in the baseplate?

I'm trying to make a Hole in the Baseplate, I unlocked it and then made a part, negated it and made a union of both...I can see the hole but i can't fall trough. Any suggestions? Here's a Picture of me standing ON the hole. https://imgur.com/a/k5Jao0D

Edit: You can't make a small hole in a big part, you must make the part smaller if you plan to add a small hole to it.

If you're planning on going down, you actually have to start from a higher position. At around -100 to -500 (can't remember the exact number)on the y axis roblox has a kill script. So even if you went through the baseplate, you'll still get killed.

I'm planning to build something under the hole so i won't die...but the problem is that i don't fall trough the hole.

The hole looks like it was made from blocks that were a bit turned. If you want to make the hole just grab a few blocks rotate them a bit and use Negate! Then union it with the base plate to create your hole. If you cant fall through  make it cancollide false because unions still have properties

Setting Union's CanColide to false will make the whole baseplate/part like this.

Apparently you can't make a small hole in a big part, if the part's size is too big, you won't be able to fall, however i tried making it way smaller and it works now.

Since no one else is answering I'll add on to what I said in the comment. I believe the baseplate was only meant to be an absolute base, the foundation for your entire game. I think that's why it's behaving the way it is (I remember having a problem with this as well, since I needed to go down).

How I got around this was using terrain editor to generate flat pieces of terrain that I could easily add holes or manipulate as I wanted. After all, you're probably not gonna want to keep the baseplate as your main terrain, so it will be changed anyway. You can also achieve this using parts for the players to stand on.

Doesn't seem like the Baseplate is the problem, I made a part above the Baseplate but same problem. http://prntscr.com/ou7rlb
