I was at the old 2018 egg hunt today for the nostalgia overload and I noticed the roll feature. I tried to replicate it in Roblox studio and I couldn't figure it out. Mine just rolls then jumps back to the starting position after the animation is finished. Can anyone explain how to make a roll mechanic like this? I actually want to use it now and I've seen it in other games. I just can't figure it out.

What Fad99 said is a good start -- make a "rolling in place" animation, but apply a BodyVelocity or tween the RootPart or whatever suits your movement liking.

make an animation taht is stationary, but tween the root part so you can get it to move.
Thanks for the replies! I tried a bunch of techniques and they all could work. I ended up using walktopoint with the humanoid so they walk forward while doing the roll animation.
