My part doesnt show in the animation editor?

i want to animate a thing and when i open the animator i see all the parts on the left, except the one i want to animate. no its not the primary part of the model and it wasnt the first part i put a Motor6D in or something. can someone please explain me why this is happening and how to fix it?
