So basically what I wanted to do was if a player chatted a certain message, it gets changed to something else, or prevent the message from running. Is any of these even possible?

Changing a players message when chatted?

I think you mean to filter texts. So first, you will need to get game:GetService("TextService")
Second, you will need to have a Player.Chatted Event.
Then, when a player just chatted something, you would do FilterStringAsync. There is a more vivid explanation in the Roblox Developing Hub. I recommend you look at that rather than just taking my answer.
This is not a good way of explaining because I am just giving some idea of how it works, not the actual code.

You can't edit a message for security reasons obviously, but technically you can prevent a message from being sent if you disable chat via
StarterGui:SetCoreGuiEnabled(Enum.CoreGuiType.Chat, false);in a local script, but this could easily be bypassed, though you should be specific as to why you need to do thisHello, gmfmf! To accomplish this, you will need to make a custom chat as there is no way to terminate a message from Roblox's default chat system. Here is a guide on how to do this.
