This is a quick question, but suddenly I'm very confused. Previously I thought server scripts could not effect surface GUIs, so I made a whole system of remotes to change mine. However, I just added something similar to a project with server scrips, forgetting to do it through remotes, and it worked fine when testing. Can someone help explain this? Thank you so much!

What has access to surface GUIs?

surface guis is in the workspace and is seen by everyone at once so they are usaly changed by a server script, if they are changed by a local script then only one player will see the effect, it is screenguis that are changed by local scripts and not server so putting up a whole system to change a surface gui is bad, instead just change what you want with them with a server script

Thank you so much! I only used surface GUIs once on a project, and in that one I needed them to be toggleable to each player seperatly so once I used them again in a different way I forgot they could just be in workspace and not repliacted to everyone seperatly
