Why am I unable to use a Textbox to input data for a value?

So I'm making a GUI and I want to be able to input a number into a textbox and then when I click the submit button it changes the value to the text in the textbox. Currently when I push the submit button it does not seem to register the fact I have changed the text (ingame) and it sets the value to the incorrect thing. No code for Textbox Here is the code I am using for the submit button.

script.Parent.MouseButton1Click:connect(function()
 game.ReplicatedStorage.GO.Value = script.Parent.Parent.INPUTVALUE.Value
end)

Hey could you go a little more in depth, I can't really help if I don't have the entire code and variables, so I'm a little confused. A GIF would be helpful too.

is the game explorer like this? https://imgur.com/IkoCKhN

If it is right, then this script should work.

button script:

script.Parent.MouseButton1Click:Connect(function()
    game.ReplicatedStorage.GO.Value = script.Parent.Parent.INPUTVALUE.Text
end)
