i think i have a basic understanding of what it does, i think its like you can call on it later but im not exactly sure why or how i would use it. if someone could explain it to me it would be greatly appreciated!

return stops all loops and the function but gives back a value so its like, when something is done, u are granted something, returning with a word after or a number is basically a value taken from the function that can be used in a variable or some other place.
