For a viewportframe am I required to have a camera for each viewportframe?

What if I had 100 objects I wanted to display on viewportframe would I need a 100 cameras too?

Hello L0cal_Scr1pt,

You can have the same camera work for as many view port frames as you want, but if you want objects in view ports to be from different perspectives you will have to position those objects rather than positioning the camera. To do this, simply set the ViewportFrame's CurrentCamera to the camera object you wish to render from in the respective ViewportFrame. Here's the wiki article on it.

There's nothing wrong with having a ton of cameras, they're not like parts that are physically simulated or rendered, they're simply tools that hold values for rendering.

If you're looking to use one camera object for micro-optimization reasons, don't bother, the viewports will start lagging before the memory of the camera instances have any impact on your performance. If you're looking to use one camera object to save time, feel free.

Good luck with your project,

Eqic
