Hi all,
This seems like an odd question however I was considering exploring different possibilities on ROBLOX.
I've already had a look around seeing if there was a way to trigger the ROBLOX game recorder via a script to no avail.
What I'm asking is, is this even at all possible? If so, is there a link to a site where I can research it?
Some of you may be asking "well why on earth would you ever need that?" well, here's why you may need it.
I'm looking at different ways and features to enhance roleplay on ROBLOX. I was looking at how police officers bodycams activate when certain criteria are met, for example, retrieving their pistol from their holster.
If my request was even at all possible, it would mean if an officer retrieved their pistol, or some other criteria, ROBLOX would start recording and evidence would instantly get stored.
Thanks for your help!

You actually don't need the game recorder. In fact, the last thing you would want to do is use the game recorder. I'm pretty sure you can embed a GUI into a set camera so that when you look from that camera's view it looks like it's recording.
You could get every frame of the camera's CFrame and then put it into a big and then push that to the datastores. Something like they do in the "Action!" game... But no, i don't think it's possible. If i'm not mistaken i think that feature is only on windows anyway
