Method for making Thunder/Lightning?

I'm not requesting a script , I was just wondering on what method I should use to make a lightning?

if I use Raycast , I don't think its gonna look like a lightning, because lightning is not a straight line. But , I bet you guys know how to make the raycast somehow looks like a lightning through math? I guess..

Any Ideas?

just make an Union and then type a script, then it clones on the workspace creating a shockwave.

There's this module that lets you create electric arcs. I think you can modify it so it can look like lightning. Here's the link to it : https://devforum.roblox.com/t/release-electric-arcs-effect/228413

Can't really tell you what method you should and shouldn't use, it all depends on what you like and don't like. If you're 100% lost on where to start or how to do it or you can't think about how you want it to look, there's absolutely no problem with looking at examples from other people. I myself looked up a free lightning script and found a very basic example but from that basic example I thought about how I would use the same methods but in a different way to achieve my goal. The free scripts found in the toolbox in studio can be incredibly helpful and even if they don't have exactly what you're looking for you need to keep an eye out for every learning experience you can take out of it, for instance Anaminus has a nice tree generator. https://www.roblox.com/library/47578189/Tree-Generator Even if you straight up found the perfect lightning script that works for you, I would highly recommend at least reading through everything and understanding how it works, never pass up a learning opportunity.
