Hi, I'm messing about with the furniture placement script that is currently first in the news section. I've modified it so it's only active when you press a button but I've encountered a small problem where if i'm using a a tool after placing something the tool won't work at all.
If anybody has looked at it at all, I've made a function, when you press 'Q' it will stop the placement of the model.
But to me it looks like i'm not properly exiting the whole placement function. If anyone has any ideas it would be great to know,
Thanks!
local function onStop(actionName, userInputState, input)
if (userInputState == Enum.UserInputState.Begin) then
onPlacing = false
_G.model:Destroy()
_G.model = nil
mouse.TargetFilter = nil
placement = nil
end
end

Thanks for the help there, these solutions you're giving are really setting the bar (:
Nice sarcasm, in all seriousness, you should ask about the problem, not how to fix your attempted solution
The problem has been specified in the first couple of sentences. There's not much else I need to add due to the majority of people already having access to the script.
yet i dont remember egomoose using _G in his original post
That's irrelevant, purely so I can access the var from other scripts.
