Basically what i'm wanting to do is when I equip a tool, I don't want the tool to go into the right hand, I want to be able to choose when It goes into the hand.

When equipping a tool, is there any way to stop it from placing it in the characters hand?

Im not sure if I know of any script, but you could edit the position of the tool and play an animation.

I do agree, this should be a comment, not an answer; Anyways, Changing the Position of it takes a weld more than just the position lol, and that does not actually stop it from going to the right hand, it takes it from the right hand after it's already been there.

u could manually weld it
I actually do manually weld it, This doesn't stop the tool from going into the hand, just changes the weld after it's already in the right hand.
You could have a handle that's not attached to the actual tool, so that when it's equipped, you equip some invisible part instead of the tool, while the tool stays where it is because it isn't attached to the handle.
