How to make a script that gives points for falling down?

I know how to make a leaderboard but I need help because I am making an Endless Pit game and I want players to earn points by falling down. I've tried to search youtube for the script tutorial, but there is nothing that will help me. Plz help!

You could use https://developer.roblox.com/api-reference/event/RunService/Heartbeat , and make sure they're inside the pit, and then score them based on their Velocity (math.max(-Torso.Velocity.Y, 0) would be the extra score, I believe)
