game.Players.PlayerAdded:Connect(function(plr)
	plr.Chatted:connect(function(theirmessage)
		if on.Value == true then
			Channel.Line5.Value = Channel.Line4.Value
			Channel.Line4.Value = Channel.Line3.Value
			Channel.Line3.Value = Channel.Line2.Value
			Channel.Line2.Value = Channel.Line1.Value
			Channel.Line1.Value = plr.Name..": "..theirmessage
		end
	end)
end)

The thing is, is that this won't work. do you guys have any ideas of how to get around it?

you never defined the channel variable, and is this a script or local script?

You should really provide a better description when you ask a question so these kinds of questions don't have to be asked

Yes, I apologize, its in a script and Channel has already been defined, didn't want to clutter this up,

Provide more info. How do you know the if statement doesn't work? Maybe the value of "on" isn't true?

Add an else statement and print something to see if your function is working at all, if it prints, it means on.value isn’t true

i dont understand tbh

Ok, so no matter what I did, it only worked for the first time. I had an else statement, If it was true ant the beginning of the test, it would work, however if I made it false the same thing would happen.

Is this a for a custom chat? Do you get any errors?

This is for a Police Radio type chat. It’s only supposed to work if a player value is true. I don’t get any errors.
