I tried rescripting a Helmet giver. I'm not sure what it is I'm missing in my script?

I'm new to scripting, and I've been trying, to no avail, to make this giver. I'm simply trying to convert a generic, on touch, helmet giver into a on click giver. I've inserted a ClickDetector into the "Head" part, and changed the script inside it to the following.

function onClicked()

	if onClicked.Parent:findFirstChild("Humanoid") ~= nil and onClicked.Parent:findFirstChild("Face") == nil then
		local g = .Parent.Parent.Face:clone()
		g.Parent = onClicked.Parent
		local C = g:GetChildren()
		for i=1, #C do
			if C[i].className == "Part" or C[i].className == "UnionOperation" then
				local W = Instance.new("Weld")
				W.Part0 = g.Middle
				W.Part1 = C[i]
				local CJ = CFrame.new(g.Middle.Position)
				local C0 = g.Middle.CFrame:inverse()*CJ
				local C1 = C[i].CFrame:inverse()*CJ
				W.C0 = C0
				W.C1 = C1
				W.Parent = g.Middle
				g.Middle.Transparency = 1
			end
				local Y = Instance.new("Weld")
				Y.Part0 = onClicked.Parent.Head
				Y.Part1 = g.Middle
				Y.C0 = CFrame.new(0, 0, 0)
				Y.Parent = Y.Part0
		end

		local h = g:GetChildren()
		for i = 1, # h do
			h[i].Anchored = false
			h[i].CanCollide = false
		end

	end
end

.Parent.ClickDetector.MouseClick:connect()

The flashGUI still pops up when you touch the "head" part, but nothing else. When I click, nothing happens. Just point me in the right direction, I appreciate it.

When you typed function onClicked() end, you created a variable called onClicked with it's value as a function, as if you typed onClicked = function() end. It's just another, easier, way of "declaring functions", similar to doing myNumber = 5

In your script though, you tried to do onClicked.Parent, but you can't do that since onClicked is a function. I'm not sure completely what you thought onClicked was, so I can't further help you, but if you can tell me what you meant then I'll do my best.

Hope this somewhat helped.
