I have a lot of confusion on how to save data of a player. I have heard it is something like GetAsync() or SetAsync(). I don't know what that means or what it does. I have watched tutorials on Youtube, but I still don't understand how to.

Please explain me how can I do this. And please give an example so I can understand it better.

Thanks in advance!

So everything is stored somewhere on a central server meaning that in game you don't automatically have access to saved data. This is where we get the "Async" part of the names, they can be called "Asynchronous" because it takes those functions time to do. (which isn't a fully accurate explanation but the easiest way to think about it.) As for get and set, they do exactly what you'd expect they

Either get or set data. And you can see multiple tutorials on the wiki. https://developer.roblox.com/api-reference/function/GlobalDataStore/GetAsync

This question is really broad, and there are a lot of intricacies to datastore which I'm not prepared to go into here. Good luck, if you have more directed questions I'd be happy to answer them.
