Yikes! I know this would be quite hard- if not impossible to make. But how could I get started on making an encounter like on final fantasy?

Whether you call it a request or not doesnt determine whether or not it is one.
You could make the Camera face the way you want it to face(sorta hard), then you want the Player to move towards the Encounter by script(pretty hard, but can be done with a walkto function), and you can make the encounter monster's Transparency go away(really easy)
