So basically I'd like to give Roblox a brick or something and have it spawn that in instead of the default player but still have the camera focus on it and stuff. Can I just drop a brick in a folder somewhere?

Here is a devforum post explaining how.
That's a easy one
Use Roblox parts and make a head then a body make sure it has motor15 rig then model it and shuv it into starter char
