To be more specific, I'm making an obby with a Starter Character (with no hair or hats on), and maybe you can go to TypicalType's shop in Epic Minigames, check out how that would work, because my shop is basically EXACTLY that. There's a buy section, an equip section, if one thing's equipped then the other thing that was just equipped is unequipped, bleh.
