Would values in ReplicatedStorage instead of RemoteEvents work?

I want to do a shop GUI and feel somewhat lazy so i don't want to use RemoteEvents because I feel that values in ReplicatedStorage would be easier. Would there be any disadvantages? (Also, I haven't tested this yet, so if it doesn't work, well...)

If it's a shop GUI, you will need remote events if you don't want the values getting exploited.

And don't be lazy.

^Maybe not for your scenario btw.

@oftenz If you use values, your game will be incredibly insecure. You MUST use remotes!

Incorrect. Depends what you're doing. Obviously if you are using filtering enabled they CAN'T change the values for the server.

You can definitely store values such as items, costs, and other values of the items for your shop in ReplicatedStorage, however you need Remote Events for the purchasing, selling, giving, and checking for the shop.

Tl;dr - you need remote events

If you want to make a shop gui remote events are needed to replicate the items you want to give for example a player pressses a button and when that player presses that button you fire a remote event to give a tool overall my point is use RE
