How do i make a gui so when you click it it will make another gui pop up?

I have tried this

if button.MouseButton1Down then
MainShop.Visible = true
else MainShop.Visible =
end
if button.MouseButton1Down true then --This is if the other one doesn't work
MainShop.script.Parent
function Appear()
MainShop.Visible = true

They both don't seem to work can anyone help?
