I'm very new with Lua, and I'm designing a new game similar to black ops zombies but instead of fighting zombies you fight wild animals like bears and foxes, I have made the models for the animals, but I can't seem to find any tutorials on how to make an animated enemy NPC rig that does not use the regular roblox body. I'm thinking sort of like the animals in swordburst
I have a basic follow script, but I'm not quite sure how to incorperate this into my animated enemy NPC
local larm = script.Parent:FindFirstChild("HumanoidRootPart")
local rarm = script.Parent:FindFirstChild("HumanoidRootPart")

function findNearestTorso(pos)
local list = game.Workspace:children()
local torso = nil
local dist = 45
local temp = nil
local human = nil
local temp2 = nil
for x = 1, #list do
temp2 = list[x]
if (temp2.className == "Model") and (temp2 ~= script.Parent) then
temp = temp2:findFirstChild("HumanoidRootPart")
human = temp2:findFirstChild("Humanoid")
if (temp ~= nil) and (human ~= nil) and (human.Health > 0) then
if (temp.Position - pos).magnitude < dist then
torso = temp
dist = (temp.Position - pos).magnitude
end
end
end
end
return torso
end

while true do
wait(1)
local target = findNearestTorso(script.Parent.HumanoidRootPart.Position)
if target ~= nil then
script.Parent.Zombie:MoveTo(target.Position, target)
end

end
If you have any videos or know how I can do this I would really appreciate it.

:children() is deprecated and has been removed, use :GetChildren(). :findFirstChild() is also deprecated so use :FindFirstChild().
you could make a animation for custom NPCS, but you'll need to add Motor6Ds to the character to animate
wait(1)A man of culture, I see.This is a free model zombie script you got from the toolbox. This isn't your own code. We only help people who have issues with code they've made themselves. https://wiki.roblox.com/index.php?title=User:Nelson/Custom_Character_Creator_(Plugin) is a good place to start custom rigging.
